Doula Support For Families With Siblings

Birth & Sibling Package

  • Our first visit is all about connection! We’ll review your intake form, talk about your birth preferences, and discuss how we can best support you and your family. This visit helps us build trust and set the foundation for your care.

  • These visits focus on your birth plan, comfort techniques, advocacy tips, and preparing you for labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. We’ll answer your questions and ensure you feel confident about your options.

  • We’ll be by your side throughout labor and delivery, providing physical, emotional, and informational support. Whether at home or in the hospital, we’ll help you stay comfortable, advocate for your wishes, and support your partner

  • Your doula will be on call at 37 weeks.

  • We’ll check in with you after birth to provide emotional support, newborn feeding help, and guidance on healing and self-care. This is also a time to celebrate your birth story and address any concerns you may have.

  • Welcoming a new baby is a big change — not just for parents, but for siblings and even pets! This visit focuses on helping older siblings understand their new role, reducing jealousy, and encouraging bonding. For families with pets, we’ll also offer tips to gently introduce your furbaby to the newest family member, creating a smooth and safe transition for everyone.

Sibling Package

  • Laying the foundation for trust, comfort, and connection.

    Before your big day arrives, we schedule a one-hour in-home visit to gently introduce your child to their sibling doula. This visit is all about building familiarity and trust — so when it’s time for you to head to the hospital, your child is already comfortable and cared for.

  • Your doula will be on call at 37 weeks.

  • In-home care while you’re at the hospital or birth center

    Play-based, nurturing support tailored to your child’s age and routine

    Light meal/snack prep, story time, nap/bedtime care

    Real-time text updates or video messages for peace of mind

  • Supporting older siblings through the emotional journey of welcoming a new baby.

    The arrival of a new baby can be a big shift for young children. While the family grows, so do your older child’s feelings and sometimes that shows up as clinginess, regressions, or behavioral changes. This one-on-one sibling support service is designed to help children process these changes gently and feel seen, supported, and secure.

Sliding Scale & Reimbursement Disclosure

Melancentric is proud to offer a sliding scale for families in need, as well as special discounts for active-duty military members and veterans.

If you are paying out of pocket, we can provide superbills or itemized receipts for possible reimbursement through your insurance provider. Please check with your plan to confirm eligibility.

We are also contracted with select Medi-Cal plans—eligible members may receive doula support at no cost.
